  Looking at the reviews for the North Finchley website I can't believe that my experience has been anything near positive. I was charged £198 for a one day van hire which is three times what I would normally pay and was given a substandard veichle, which broke down. I was offered a £100 refund on the 19th March and despite chasing at least 7 times ay the Fichley office and 3 times by phone to the central office I am still awaiting a refund. Two months and nearly two weeks for a promised refund is not acceptable. If that wasn't bad enough my last van hire booing was cancelled due to "safety" issues on the van., one hour before I was due to pick it up. No real empathy around the aggrevation and stress I had to deal with. No offer of assistance in helping to find a van and had to go to a competitor and pay an extra £50. This was two weeks ago and despite chasing I am still awaiting a refund on the original booking which I prepaid. Needless to say whilst I really wanted this arrangement to work I have ahd to go to a competitor instead. It is a real shame as I wanted to use them as a regular van hire company given that ZIP van rentals are no longer. So when I read all the positive coments I do wonder are they genuine and why have I been singled out to experience this level of incompetence?

  Incredibly helpful and kind staff, excellent service. Cars are always in good knick, recommend the Qashqai ! Emmanuel was incredibly kind. And the rest of the team also. See you all again soon

  Hired van for the weekend. Everything was handled very promptly and professionally by the team at Finchley.

  Would have given 5 stars but unfortunately the condition of the Van hired was a definite let down. Customer service was great and attentive, just one feedback is to clean vans as good as you clean your cars! I know they are mainly used to move rubbish and stuff like that but the least thay can be done is make the cabin presentable!

  Did not ever have the car that they hired to me so gave me a car far too small. Did not tell me in advance that they did not have that car. Charged me for the original car and did not offer to reimburse the difference until I called them multiple times (and still haven't actually). Sixt is much better. Would not trust again.
